Axis Realty Advisors' Founder

Andrea L. Reid

Since 1986, Andrea L. Reid, the founder and President of Axis Realty Advisors, has been working in the commercial real estate industry, identifying, analyzing, structuring, negotiating and executing a broad array of complex commercial real estate transactions. Prior to starting her own firm, Ms. Reid was with a large commercial real estate company for 14 years and had been involved in all aspects of leasing, sales, and development for a broad range of domestic and international clients and investors, including Fortune 100 companies, law firms, associations, and diversified businesses. During her career, she successfully executed over 500 transactions involving over 4.8 million square feet of commercial office and retail space with a total value of over $1,200,000,000. In addition, she has been recognized as one of the top-producing brokers in Washington, DC and has been the recipient of numerous industry awards.

As Ms. Reid observed from her previous employment, the bureaucracy created by the internal chain of command of a large company often limited the ability of the brokers to efficiently, effectively and comprehensively address their client’s needs. In March of 2000, Ms. Reid founded her own company to take advantage of the flexibility and capacity to focus on client needs in ways not possible with larger organizations. Her firm’s goals are to be an advisor to clients, rather than a broker; and rather than pursue individual transactions, her goal is to become her clients’ long-term real estate advisor.
